At the world’s largest fruit and vegetable exhibition FruitLogistica 2013 in Berlin, a Dutch company will be nominated for an Innovation Award. The prize is awarded annually for the best innovative products in the field of fresh fruits and vegetables.
A new product of the company will be presented to the exhibition visitors, the concept of which is to help consumers to combine different types and prepare mushrooms.
Banken Chamignons B.V. has been selling mushrooms since 1956, and during that time has grown into Europe’s largest supplier of cultivated mushrooms. In addition to its own production facilities, the company trades in mushrooms for another 75 households.
The last time mushrooms were nominated for the 2011 Innovation Award.
