The two substrate suppliers whose facilities are situated on the Eastern part of Ukraine where the risk of shelling is very high – continue operation. Agrotandem-Plus – the producer of compost for champignons in Dnipropetrovsk region has been operating since 2002 and now loading from this yard are possible for Ukrainian growers. The company offers Phase 2 compost in briquettes.
EcoSpor from Zaporizhzhia region – very close to the territory where the battles are going on – continues the production and shipment of exotic mushroom substrate and also exotic mushrooms themselves. Even in wartime Ukrainians can buy such exotic mushrooms as oysters, shiitake, eryngii etc. as the result of firm work of the suppliers – even in places where it is really dangerous. Of course, substrate production could not be just moved to another region – so it should either stop or work under exposions.
Rio-Chamignon is one of the largest mushroom farm of Ukraine – it is situated in Western region where it is much safer. So the farm from the beginning of the war has started to produce special can line (as it owns second largest in Ukraine canning facility for mushrooms) for army needs. Now under the clever management the farm is increasing its amount of production in comparison of the beginning of the war – and offers free work places for people in such hard times.
