Kharkov company Grikar A.P.S. began production of mushroom compost Phase III of its own production. Using the Phase III allows for more than a quarter to increase the number of revolutions of the mycelium of the season, reducing the duration of a single growing cycle into two or even three weeks. Besides reducing the risk of infection by pests and fungi mycelium, because a good compost phase 3 is less vulnerable than the Compost 2 phase, and the cycle of its stay on the shelf mycelium – shorter. Compost 3 phases makes it possible to obtain a homogeneous compost zarostanie than 2 phases. Also, the use of the third phase allows the compost to use nutritional supplements, entering into the second phase which is complicated. Finally, when working on a 3-phase significantly reduced the number of working operations.
At the same time, the use of compost Phase III requires much greater manufacturability, related technologies and organization.
“We believe that the use of compost Phase 3 will enable us to obtain a number of market advantage, expressed in the quality and quantity of the fungus, as well as reduce the cost of production” – says Lilia Dashtoyan, director Grikar A.P.S.
The first batch of compost Phase 3 were placed on the shelves of Grikar A.P.S. At the beginning of June. It was decided to operate on three waves of fruiting. Among plan to obtain a yield of 3 composting phase up to 35% by weight of compost.
