This year, the amendments to the law “On Agricultural Cooperation”, which according to experts will contribute to the increase in the number of agricultural service cooperatives. Agriculture Ministry even promises that the cooperatives will be able to compensate for the budget price of domestically produced equipment. On the development of cooperatives in 2013, plans to allocate 100 million UAH.
In the case of mushroom producers, the cooperative organization can help to keep, to form consignments, develop, package, and provide other services to its members.
The main problem that remains unresolved – VAT. Its essence lies in the fact that the producers, who through agricultural service cooperatives sell their products, must of its value in the form of value-added tax paid to the budget of 20%. However, there is hope that this problem will be solved – at least work on it actively, including specialists AgroInvest USAID project.
